MICHAEL COBURN
LEAD GUITAR | VOCALS
Michael has been playing the guitar since the age of 12 when he discovered his Mother's old Sears and Roebuck model guitar in a dusty case in the basement. He begged for new strings, learned a few chords, and started to play along with songs on albums and the radio. Not long after, he played one of his uncles electric guitars through an amplifier and took a few lessons from him. It only took hearing Stevie Ray Vaughn's album Texas Flood to solidify his passion for the instrument, and he's been a student and player ever since.
Influences abound, Michael's passion is rooted in the blues. He loves the act of creating and improvisation, and brings a spirit of "anything is possible" to the band. In his playing, you may catch nods to The Grateful Dead, The Rolling Stones, John Scofield, and others. Michael has played in many bands over the years covering a variety of styles from hard rock to alternative, and from classic rock to the blues.
